CHRIS MORELAND, partner

Chris is a founding partner of MJSB and has devoted his entire legal career (27 years and counting) to representing workers who have been injured, harassed, discriminated against, or wrongfully terminated by their employers. Over that time, Chris has established an impressive track record of success, having helped his clients recover tens-of-millions of dollars in settlements, arbitration awards, and verdicts while litigating on their behalf against some of the biggest companies in the nation.

Chris’s practice has taken him across the country – literally – he’s handled cases in at least 15 states and every region of the country. His work includes not only trial practice, but appellate matters as well, including arguments in the Supreme Courts of Minnesota, Montana, and Nebraska. Regardless of location, Chris’s mission remains the same; tireless advocacy on behalf of those injured by corporate wrongdoing.

Chris is also an active member of the Minnesota legal community. He is a long-term member of the Minnesota Association for Justice, where he has served on the Board of Governors and the Amicus Committee, and he was recently elected to serve as President of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, where he also serves on the Amicus and Legislative Committees. He speaks frequently at continuing legal education seminars about employment law, personal injury, and appellate advocacy, and he has authored several articles on legal rights and process. Respected by his colleagues and peers, Chris was named several times to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars List (which is made up of lawyers under the age of 40 or who have been in practice for less than 10 years) and has been included on the Minnesota Super Lawyers List every year since 2018.
